My deepest sympathies for your loss. Dr. Schanzbach was such a wonderful man.
Y'all were such a big part of my childhood and early adulthood being neighbors and friends. It is so hard to believe that he is gone. My prayers are for you and yours, as are my thoughts. May God bless you with the courage, peace and acceptance to help you through your grief.

Dr Schanzbach was an excellent example of a good man. His ideals will be carried by those who knew him.

He was such a beautiful person inside and out. I so much enjoyed having known him as a friend to my Dad, Lawrence Twickler, as well as our Deacon for so many years at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. He always had a great message. Being a Deacon definitely was his calling. And, I don't think I ever saw him without a smile and kindness. He will be greatly missed, I am sure.

Deacon Schanzbach was an amazing person and a great part of my childhood. I grew up in St. Joseph's church and was there from Kindergarten through the 8th grade for schooling. I got the absolute best education around and the best religious upbringing- he played a huge role in that!
I never saw him without a smile and he was always friendly to everyone. I always enjoyed when he was a part of Mass!
Thank you for all you are and for being a part of our lives!

As a kid I remember going to him to have my eyes checked. And then always seeing him at church. A man with a big smile and an even bigger heart. And he gave the best hugs. I know he will be truly missed. Prayers to all the family.
