Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of more than 24 years, Rickie A. Guhman Jr, and her son Cole V. Guhman; her father William Boles II, sisters Erica Barras and her husband Nathan, Stephanie Caillauet and her husband Roger, Kelli Chavez and her husband Luis, her brother-in-law Jason Guhman and his wife Nicole, also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Reading through the wonderful words and memories of those writing before me makes me realize how genuine Jennifer was. She could be a rascal and be "one of the guys ", but turn on a dime and be the sole voice of reason. My "brother" Rickie brought her into my life at LSU. She was our Sweetheart our friend and our mother. Rick, she┬┤s blessed to be with our Lord, but my heart aches for you and Cole. Seeing her on our last trip to New Orleans and to hear how happy the two of you were and the pride she had for Cole was a highlight of the trip. God Bless

I have started this message multiple times over the last couple of weeks. I could not get through the first sentence without breaking down. Jennifer was the first person I met on our Hall at the Miller dorm my first year at LSU 1990. We immediately became friends. Ultimately, for me, best friends. Even if I was not her best friend, she was my best friend. She was my sidekick for getting in trouble and we were lucky to make it through our first two years of college alive! I was the bad influence, I admit it! At the end of my second year, which was my last year at LSU, Rickie came to rescue her. You were her one and only and from the day she met you, she never looked back! Cole, however, was the love her life. She was the proudest mom. She fought for her son, supported him, and loved him completely. She never had a negative thing to say, ever! Such a proud mom. And just so that her sister's understand she loved you all so deeply. I have known her for 31 years. I have watched her evolve into a wonderful, fierce woman. We were just kids when we met. She was definitely a spirit larger than life could contain. My heart aches and I will forever have a hole there that cannot be filled.

The world is a darker place today without the bigger than life personality of my co-worker and friend. I will miss you, Jen. You were the consummate professional and could anticipate what I needed before I knew myself. But more importantly, you were my friend. I will miss you for always. My condolences to Rickie and Cole. You were Jennifer's whole world and I never tired of hearing of her love for you two.

I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer at A-B. She was a delight to work with and was full of life. It was obvious that she loved her family and we shared many stories of our sons and what they were doing. She was very proud of Cole and his accomplishments in the Navy. She will be deeply missed. My prayers are with Rickie and Cole.

I met Jennifer long ago when I was working at the Financial Aid Office at Tulane University , She always lit up a room when she entered and she was always willing to help us provide additional support to our Louisiana students.. We often talked about family and I know how proud she was to be Cole's mom.. She will be missed. Prayers for all who mourn her passing but we all have another angel in heaven today.

Jennifer Boles was the second person who spoke to me as a freshman from Costa Rica at LSU. She was so nice and showed me the " Quad" word I had no idea what that was and gave me the tour at night ..We became close friends and lived on the same floor at Miller Hall 1991 on ...Jennifer was so much fun and loved life she loved to learn things like Spanish words , maybe swear ones, and some dance moves. I really loved Jen and a part of my LSU memories have gone with Jennifer. Rest in Peace, I love you- Lalo.
