Tribute & Message From The Family

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful ones. Psalm 116:15

Dennis was a sinner turned saint. His eyes and heart were opened, and he grew to love Jesus as his savior. It was evident by his generous, serving, faithful life. His #1 goal in life was to share the love of Jesus with everyone he crossed paths with, starting with his family. He was welcomed home by Jesus.

He was the owner of Whole Health Market, and a member of Crossroads Church.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Madeline, children and their spouses, Dennis Jr & Brandie, Rachael & Wes, and Rhonda & Will and his grandchildren, Ashley, Trey, Cameron, Katie, Jason, Blake, Brent, Brandon, Maddie, Lily, Josh, and Emily. He joins his granddaughter Abby, who is in Heaven.

There will be a private service arranged by Harry McKneely.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to No Heart Left Behind by mail at 1701 Orchard Drive, Covington, Louisiana 70435, by phone at (985)264-8808, or online at

I was so shocked and saddened to see that Dennis had passed away. Before moving back to Ohio I was living in Ponchatoula and went into the Health Food Store probable once a week. Dennis was always ready with a smile and wonderful personal service. He was never in a hurry and took time with each and every customer helping with his vast knowledge of natural healing. I know all the family will be saddened by this huge loss. My prayers going out for all of you.

Dear Madeline, So long ago you and Dennis became our family in faith and I have cherished those few years spent together in serving our Lord. The emptiness of pressing on without him is a heavy weight to carry. But knowing that he now abides in Glory is your comfort until you are reunited as our loving Father has promised. May God's mercy and love overshadow you and all of your family until that time comes.

The last time I saw Mr. Dennis he was making paper planes with Abby in the Crossroads nursery. He was sitting in a child’s chair at a child’s table. His long legs bent at the knees as he handed her another crisply folded plane. She was all giggles and wonder. I’ve kept this memory close because it was the last day I saw Abby. Dennis was warm as always and welcomed my children to the table. He immediately got busy making them paper planes as well. I’ve kept this memory close because my children didn’t know anyone there and before this moment they were all standing around awkwardly. Mr. Dennis was that kinda guy. He always gave you a real hug and a real kiss and looked you in the eye. He was a good listener and that I’m sure is what made him such a great friend. He will be missed greatly here but I can’t help but think of what joy he is experiencing now. I imagine him and Abby now. All their laughter. All their wonder. Praying for you all. Chels

Our hearts are broken with yours & we will miss him so much. We are rejoicing that we will meet again in heaven, thanks to the blood of Jesus!
Dennis ALWAYS pointed us to Jesus and God's word. He looked after our spiritual health as well as our physical health. I never heard him say anything unkind or negative. He was a special blessing to us! We love you all and are praying for you. - D.

Mr.Dennis changed my life and ultimately the lives of my children. He graciously shared his vast knowledge and was always willing to listen without judgment or pretense. He just wanted to help people. It was evident that he loved the Lord, his wife, and his family very much. I will miss him. But, this I know...he is rejoicing with his Lord n Savior, and I can only aspire to live a life so richly blessed as he is now.
