Reginald James McIntyre was a great Man and mentor. He spent a great deal of time being personable with his colleagues. He never looked down upon any man and treated each person with respect. When Mr. Mitchell recommended me for the Board he respected his decision and offered his assistance.

I am proud to have had the opportunity to meet and work with him. He always stated his views openly to everyone.

I met Reggie in 1979 when I moved to Hammond from Arkansas; he always ribbed me about being from Arkansas. I was working for Ronald Sykes, CPA.at that time and he asked me if I would serve on a public board because he wanted a CPA on the board AND he needed to find a woman to serve on the board as well. I happened to be both. I have never regretted that decision as I have been able to meet folks that might not have ordinarily have come into my life.

Reggie was usually upbeat and had positive additions to any conversation. He liked people. He was always a good friend and someone who you knew loved his family and friends.

I was shocked and soory to learn of Reggie's passing. The last I saw him was probably fice years ago and he was hale and hearty. We were law school classmates and friends and remained so even though we saw each only sporadically over the years. He was a great guy and will certainly be missed.
