Minnie Pearl Sharp
Minnie, age 78, peacefully passed away on October 15, 2021. She enjoyed playing Bingo, arts and crafts, socializing with her friends, and going out to eat with her family. Minnie was known for her outspoken firecracker spirit and always saying what was on her mind, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and making wonderful memories with them. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her and will be missed greatly.
She leaves behind her children, Frances Hill and husband Clifton Jr., Thomas "Brent" Sharp, Sr.; grandchildren, Thomas Brent Sharp Jr., Dylan Sharp, Abby Sharp, Todd Wells, Ricky Wells Jr., Amanda Wells, Jeannette Wagner, Chad Hill and Eric Hill; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one great-great grandson, Easton; as well as her siblings; Bobbie Evans and Marvin Penton.
Preceding Minnie in death were her parents, Thomas and Ozell Penton; children, Jerry Wayne Wells and Ricky Wells Sr.; granddaughter, Christine Hill; as well as Minnie's ex-husbands, Jerry Wells and Leslie Sharp.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home – Ponchatoula, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wetmore Cemetery in Ponchatoula.

I loved Ms. Minnie. She watched over my Mom and helped her with her Bingo cards, plus informed me daily about anything going on that she thought I should know. Ms. Minnie was a beautiful, precious person!
