Adam Milton Guichet passed away at his residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at the age of 88. He was born on Wednesday, August 24, 1927, and was a lifelong resident of Ponchatoula. He was a retired Service Manager with Lousteau Ford where he had over forty years of service. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy where he served during World War II. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family. He was a great artist who could paint, draw, and sculpt anything, as well as play any instrument. This God given talent was something extraordinary and people who knew him loved his work. He was always smiling; he was fun loving and humorous, and always moved forward with grace and determination.

Adam is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Myrtis "Twinkle" Guichet; two sons & daughters-in-law, Keith and Pat Guichet and Greg and Debbie Guichet; one daughter & son-in-law, Beth and Oray Rogers; three stepsons & daughters-in-law, Melvin and Renee Meyers, Randy and Cindy Meyers, and Wendell and Kristi Meyers; seventeen grandchildren, Adam, Michelle Renee, Toby, Heather, Natalie, Jill, Cody, Ryan, Jeremy, Jacob, Jonas, Alecia, Randall, Mallory, Dylan, Haley, and Scott; and two step grandchildren, Tanya and John; 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thada Mae Gill Guichet; son, Gary Guichet; grandson, Gary Guichet, Jr.; his parents, Joseph and Josephine Fournier Guichet, and 14 brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, LA on Friday evening, July 15, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and in the chapel of St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until service time.

Interment with military honors will follow in Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Guichet, Jacob Guichet, Jonas Guichet, Cody Rogers, Dylan Meyers, and Randall Meyers.
