Emmett John Perrilloux of Natalbany, Louisiana, known to most who knew him as "Chief", passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at the age of 94. He was born in Madisonville, Louisiana on Monday, March 19, 1923. He is now in the presence of his Elohim and is reunited with his beloved wife of 71 years, Mildred O'Keefe Perrilloux. In his lifetime, he wore many hats, but the three most important ones were his passions: serving his Elohim as pastor of Friends in Christ Church for over 25 years; serving his community as Fire Chief of the Natalbany Volunteer Fire Department for over 47 years; and serving the people as President of the Tangipahoa Parish Water District for several years.

Emmett is survived by his children, Barbara and Guy Wood, Emily and Larry Wagner, Joanne and Tommy Folks, Jackie Perrilloux and Daye Clayton, and Luis and Julie Alvarez; grandchildren, Wendy and Kevin Wallis, Tracy Fasick, Guy and Taque Wood, Daniel and Amy Folks, and Jonathan Wood; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Grant, Niall, Mason, Mazlowe, Kenadie, Grace, Charles, Ian, and Avery.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents, Anna Burnett and Louis Ralph Perrilloux.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Fireman's Funeral Ceremony at the Natalbany Baptist Church, 48024 Parsonage Rd., Natalbany, Louisiana 70451, on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm. The visitation will be held at church, beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until the 2:00 pm service time.

Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.

A special thanks to Michelle Carbonneau for her assistance with his special project and to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care of Hammond for their support, guidance, and care.
