Ethel "Rae" Beyl Wittie passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family, in the comfort of her son and daughter-in-law's home on Saturday, August 6, 2016, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 83. She was born on Monday, March 20, 1933, in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Maggie Corbin Beyl and Albert Franklin Beyl.

Rae is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Keith and Linda Wittie and her son & daughter-in-law, Mark and Carla Wittie; grandson and wife, Josh and Kelly Wittie, grandson, Chris Wittie, and granddaughter and husband, Chelsey and Michael Yeargin; great-grandchildren, Daniel Wittie, Cayden Yeargin, and Atti Wittie; and three brothers, Dickie Beyl, Huey Beyl, and Billy Beyl.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Patricia Lynn Wittie; granddaughter, Jamie Wittie; former husband, Hollis Adrian Wittie; parents, Albert Franklin Beyl and Maggie Corbin Beyl; sister, Dot Drott; and three brothers, Paul "Hoot" Beyl, Eugene Beyl, and Rob Beyl.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow in Wetmore Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
