Evon Schliegelmeyer Obituary

Evon Schliegelmeyer passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 73. She was born on Monday, October 25, 1948 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Annie Jenkins born in Ponchatoula, La and the late Robert Jenkins born in Covington, La. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Evon survived by her loving husband, Jimmy J. Schliegelmeyer, Sr., children, Jimmy Jr. & Amanda, Rick & Eva, and Glenn Daniel & Bridget Schliegelmeyer, sisters, Linda Prine and Peggy Poche Stromeyer, brother, Thomas Jenkins, grandchildren, Colby, Gavin, Ashley, Todd, Brett and Anna, as well as her great-grandchildren, Peyton, River, Madison, Malinda Mason, and Kellin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Jenkins; mother, Annie Jenkins; sisters, Sarah Wall and Anna Mae Vicknair; and her brothers, Bobby and Jesse; and granddaughter, Tabitha Schliegelmeyer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula , 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Saturday, March 26, 2022, 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Wetmore Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
