Florence Allen Durand passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at her residence-Summerfield Senior Living in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 92. She was born on Monday, December 8, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Florence is survived by her loving family: daughters, Patricia Ann Durand Armentor and her husband, Jesse, Mary Lynn Durand Boudreau, Cynthia Marie Durand, and Joan Catherine Durand Magee Bissel, sons, Charles Allen Durand and his wife, Viki Korom Durand, and Douglas Michael Durand; sister, Ruth Allen Gilton; brother, Walter Kumiega; daughter-in-law, Caroline Kowzan Durand (wife of Lee); grandchildren, Julie Armentor Kennedy, Richard Boudreau, Jr., Paula Durand Campbell, Amanda Boudreau Dupre, Philip Armentor, Patrick Armentor, Peter Armentor, Jennifer Boudreau, Leonce J. Durand, Christina Boudreau Charalambous, Von Magee, Kelli Magee Carnovale, Raymond Bissel, Douglas Durand, Jr., David Durand, Tori Durand, and Austin Durand; and great grandchildren, Caroline and Charlotte Campbell, Olivia Durand, Sean Patrick and Christopher Kennedy, Mark, Cecilia, and Paul Boudreau, Amelia and Jude Dupre, Thomas, Mary, and Annie Armentor, Matthew, Delaney, Lilly Grace, and Ethan Armentor, Isabel Boudreau, Alexandra and Aliki Charalambous, and Sophie and Eli Carnovale.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Leonce Phillip Durand, Jr.; son, Leonce "Lee" P. Durand; parents, Charles Allen and Amelia Marie Schaefer; brothers, Charles Allen, George Allen and Elwood Robert Allen; and sisters, Elizabeth Allen Coates, Anna Mae Allen King, and Josephine Kumiega.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
