Guy Paul Lamonte passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 91. He was born on Saturday, January 2, 1926 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Frances Misuraca Lamonte and the late Joseph Lamonte, natives of Sicily. Guy was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was loyal patron of the Hi-Ho, and a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Guy is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Lamonte Morse (Sam); sons, Guy Lamonte, Jr. (Janet), and Donald J. Lamonte (Faye); brother, Joseph Anthony Lamonte, Jr.; sister-in-laws, Mary Gail Lamonte, and Lena Lamonte; grandchildren, Jill Corkern (Jason), Jenny Lamonte (Jessie), Joey Lamonte (Aimee), Tim Lamonte (Kelly), Tracey Anderson (Jason), Aimee McSpadden (Kerry), Amber Aucoin (Dwight Rodrigue), and Alex Morse (Brittany Daigle); and great-grandchildren, Dalyn Farley, Beau Corkern, Mia Corkern, Kaitlyn Lamonte, Brennan Lamonte, Gavin Lamonte, Kayla Calhoun, Braeden McSpadden, Madison Rodrigue, and Reese Rodrigue.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lamonte; mother, Frances Misuraca Lamonte; first wife, Vencia Lee Kirkland Lamonte; second wife, Marie Grantham Lamonte; four brothers, Felix Maria Lamonte, Charles Vincent Lamonte, Sam Salvatore Lamonte, and Anthony Vincent Lamonte; six sisters, Evelyn Carmella Lamonte Muscarello, Santa "Sandy" Lamonte Graziano, Conchetta "Chetta" Lamonte Monistere, Mary Catherine Lamonte Koles, Dorothy Ann Lamonte Mangiaracina, and Anna Marie Lamonte Fugarino.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregiver Beverly Neal.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, December 30, 2017, from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Cemetery.
