Helen Settoon Perrin, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29th, with her family by her side in the caring and loving community of the Heritage Healthcare Nursing Home. She was a native and lifetime resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making great memories. Helen enjoyed being outside and working with her husband on the farm. Strawberry season was always her best time of the year, smelling the aroma of the fields and packing shed. She enjoyed feeding and watching the wild birds, including the hummingbirds. Her grandchildren cherish fond memories of her during the Christmas season, hanging their individual stockings filled with satsumas from her satsuma tree and their individual comic strips in each stocking. She was an amazing cook, and all especially enjoyed her home-made lemon meringue pies and spaghetti and meatballs(meat-patties). Helen was a devout Christian and loved by all who met her.

Helen is survived by her son, Joseph Perrin and his wife Bonnie; 2 daughters, Shirley Perrin Jones and Joyce Perrin Purvis and her husband Dennis; grandchildren, Casey, Dusty, Ryan, Ashley, Melissa and Amy; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Brinley, Juliette and Benjamin; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
