James "Jim" Gaylin Hoover passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 80. He was born on Sunday,September 1, 1940 in Metairie, Louisiana to the late Robert Henry and Margaret McInnis Hoover. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lynn Ethridge Hoover; sons, Robert Hoover, James Hoover (Renée), and David Hoover (Sarah);grandchildren, Ashlyn Bridges and Ainsley Hoover; sister, Rachel Koger; and nieces and nephews, Debbie, Patty, Michael, Scott, and Angela, and great niece Samantha.

In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Marshall Hoover (Lou) and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, March 13, 2021, beginning at 9:30 AM until the memorial service begins at 11:30 AM.
