Joseph "Joe" R. Fresina, 74 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017, at home with his family by his side. He was born on Thursday, April 9, 1942, in Independence, Louisiana to John and Conchetta Fresina. Joe loved cutting hair and being a Barber and had his barber shop for many years. He loved life and enjoyed spending time just talking with his customers at the barber shop and loved spending time with his family.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Judy Evans Fresina, his son, John Fresina and his wife Lori, his daughter, Jenifer Ribando and her husband Dominick, his grandchildren, Bradley, Leigh and Amy Fresina, Olivia Taylor and her husband Walter, and Nicholas Ribando, his great grandchildren, Allison and Wyatt Taylor and his brother, Frank Fresina and his wife Jennifer, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Conchetta Fresina.

A Visitation for Joe will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Independence. A Memorial Service Celebrating Joe's Life will immediately follow visitation at12:00pm in the church.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes all memorial donations be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, PO Box 4196, Monroe, Louisiana 71211 or online at www.LBCH.org in Joe's memory.
