Joseph, a native of Albany, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA passed away on January 11, 2021, at Heritage Healthcare of Hammond at the age of 96. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 30 years of service as a crane operator. Joseph was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army as Private First Class, and proudly fought for his country in the Philippines. He is survived by a son, Joseph G. Nemith and wife Linda; stepson, Robert White; brother, James Nemeth and wife Lola; grand-daughter Julie Nemith Butzen; grand-daughter Kelly Nemith Fleischmann and husband Benjamin; 4 great grandchildren, Steven Butzen, Hunter Butzen, Jared Nemith Fleischmann, and Chloe Fleischmann. He is preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Gaspard Nemeth; former wife, Hilda Stewart Nemeth; parents, Joseph Nemeth and Helen Gorcsos Nemeth; brothers, John Nemeth, Stephen Nemeth, Frank Nemeth; sister, Ann Nemeth Bertone; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be laid to rest in Rose Memorial Park, 908 Western Avenue, Hammond on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 2:00 pm.
