Joseph William "Billy" Saltzman Jr a lifelong resident of Manchac went to be with his Lord and Savior April 7, 2022, at St Tammany Parish Hospital at age 72 surrounded by his family. Billy, a lifelong resident of Manchac, was a retired commercial fisherman and Lacox Propane delivery driver. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph William "Buck" Saltzman, Sr and Mary Yvonne Wild Saltzman, his first wife of 32 years, Karen Rogers Saltzman, twin granddaughters, and his brother-in-law, Gill Edwards. He leaves behind his wife of 15 years, Yvonne Z Saltzman; his sons, Willie Saltzman (Mopsy), and Matt Saltzman (Donita); daughters, Victoria McDonald (Brian) and Christina Hillesheim; brother, Donald Saltzman (Colette); sisters, Anita Landrum (Steve) and Susan Evans; grandchildren Bethany, Brian, Brittany, Caitlin, Emily, Haylee, Joshua and Matthew; and 5 great-grandchildren Drayke, Sawyer, Easton, Wyatt and Max. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at St Tammany Parish Hospital and Mary Bird Perkins.
Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 South Magnolia, Ponchatoula, Friday, April 15, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until memorial services at 1:00 p.m.
