Marie Joy Benitez passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the age of 64. She was born on Saturday, June 20, 1953 in New York, New York to the late Charles Armour and the late Blanche Moxley Armour. She was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, George Benitez; brother, Carl Armour and his wife Pauline; sisters, Lucinda Thornton and her husband Donald, and Delores Hamilton and her husband Jerry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Armour Moxley; father, Charles Armour; brother, Douglas Armour; and sister, Alice Key.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at College Town Baptist Church, 14376 Kohnke Hill Rd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 12:00 pm until the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm.
