Ramona Quay Lachney passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 53. She was born on Thursday, November 5, 1964 in Booneville, Mississippi to the late Laura Quay Stewart and the late Benny Smith. She was a resident of Albany, Louisiana.

Ramona is survived by her husband, Johnny Lachney; daughter, Heather Way; son, Tres Way and his wife Shannon Monahan; grandchildren, Luke Way, Joey Way, Carson Guillot, and Charlie Way; step children, Krista Guillot and her husband Jake, and Jonathon Lachney; and sister, Tammy McCoy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benny Smith; mother, Laura Quay Stewart; two step-fathers, Lucius Stewart, and Bobby Busby; brother, Wayne Smith; and niece, Nicole Crane.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Blood River Baptist Church Cemetery.
