Richard A. Coody "Coody"
Richard went to his heavenly home on Saturday, April 3, 2022, at the age of 68. He was very outgoing who never met a stranger, was easy to talk to and a fun person to be around, always making someone laugh. Coody was a very loving man and knew when someone needed a hug. Coody loved music, and could name the artist, song title and lyrics with only hearing a few notes. He was a busy body and enjoyed many hobbies, when Coody was younger he raced motorcycles, then went onto many other hobbies, such as bowling, hunting, fishing, golf, gardening and yardwork, watching ballgames with friends, and building foreign vehicle motors. Coody met his fiancée, Brenda, in 2010 and have been inseparable ever since. In his garden he grew upside down tomatoes and peppers, where they enjoyed making salsa together and would bring it to their friends to fellowship with them, making lasting memories they all will cherish forever.
Coody leaves behind his fiancée, Brenda Schmitt; son, Joshua Coody; stepson, Matthew Morrow; as well as his sister, Regina Coody and her husband Ryan Silliman.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Janet Swindle Coody; and his parents, William and Norma Coody. He is also preceded by his furbabies, Maggie, Jager and Sancho.
