Rita Lanoue Justice Roane Obituary

Rita Lanoue Justice Roane was born in Ethel, LA on July 14, 1922, to the late Pat and Wilma Lanoue and passed away in Hammond, LA on April 20, 2022, in Hammond, LA.  She was 99 years old, a resident of Hammond, and former longtime resident of Ponchatoula.  She graduated from Ponchatoula High School.  Rita worked 28 years for A & P in Baton Rouge and Hammond before retiring from the Ponchatoula location. A parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, Rita was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Unit #0047 in Ponchatoula.  She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Haase (George); son, Harold Justice (Kim); grandchildren; Jerry Graves, Jr., Jeffrey Graves, Kevin Justice; Sandy Gaudet, Scotty Gaudet, and Stacy Reviere; numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She is preceded in death her first husband, Harold Justice, Sr., and second husband, Harold Roane; daughter, Juanita "Puddy" Gaudet; sister, Yvonne Timothy; parents Pat and Wilma Lanoue, and a great grandson. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 West Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Friday, April 22, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until religious services at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in Ponchatoula Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Miami, FL  33134.
