Theodore "Ted" Alfred Dupont, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the age of 83. Widower of Nancy Combel Dupont, his beloved wife of 59 years. Loving father of Dorenda Dupont, Stephanie Dupont Guillot (Glenn), Stephen Dupont, Charlene Dupont Alphonso (Eric), and Christopher Dupont (Kristi). Grandfather of Jeffrey, David, Amy, Michelle, and Timothy Guillot, and Kristen, Maria, and Eric Jr. Alphonso. Son of the late Theodore A. Dupont, Sr., and the late Naomi Ansel Dupont. Brother of Erwin Angus Dupont and Elaine Dupont Kuhn. Native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Former resident of Arabi, LA, and parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish for 37 years until 2005. After Hurricane Katrina, resident of Ponchatoula, LA, and parishioner of St. Joseph Parish for 12 years. Graduate of Delgado Trade School in New Orleans. Served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1960. Owner of T. A. Dupont Heating and Air Conditioning until his retirement. Member of the Sisters of the Holy Faith Associates. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 N. 8th Street in Ponchatoula, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, 908 Western Ave., Hammond, LA. Visitation from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home at 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA.
